European Commission Blue Book Traineeship 2027 Overview

The European Commission Blue Book Traineeship offers 5-month professional placements across European Commission services, directorates, and agencies (primarily in Brussels and Luxembourg). Open to candidates worldwide regardless of citizenship, the program provides two distinct tracks: the Administrative Traineeship and the Translation Traineeship (within the Directorate-General for Translation). Approximately 1,000 positions are available per 5-month session.

Eligibility Criteria

• Academic Qualifications: Must hold a completed 3-year higher education degree (minimum EQF Level 6, equivalent to a Bachelor's degree) with an official diploma or university degree certificate.

• Prior Experience Restriction: Must not have more than 6 consecutive weeks of prior work experience (including internships) within any EU institution, body, agency, MEP office, or the EU Court of Justice.
